The Lada Priora will be removed from the assembly line in Togliatti in the last days of July. The company's management made this decision because buyers are increasingly choosing fresh new models of the brand, while interest in the Priora is steadily declining, noted at AvtoVAZ.
Production of the Lada Priora began in 2007. The best year in terms of sales was 2011, when 138 thousand units were sold. Over the ten years of the model's existence, more than 860 thousand cars were assembled.
"At one time, the Lada Priora turned out to be a very successful car and helped AvtoVAZ survive the difficult period of a decade ago. However, over the past three years, the Lada brand has been seriously updated, new models have appeared, and our perception of the brand among consumers has changed - as a result, demand for the Priora continues to decline," explained the company's press service.
