Production of the last car of this popular model will be completed at GM Uzbekistan's facilities in July of this year. The Matiz was assembled at the plant in Asaka since August 2001, although the hatchback itself first appeared back in 1997 under the Daewoo brand.
The decision to abandon the "Matiz" was made due to plans to update the lineup, as well as due to the fact that the model has become outdated both technically and morally.
Demand for cars of this class will now be met by increasing production of the Spark model.
