Australia is no longer a car-producing country. Today, the last Commodore sedan rolled off the assembly line at the Holden plant in Elizabeth.
The final one was a red Holden Commodore VFII Redline V8 with a manual transmission. The model is not intended for sale and will be sent to a museum.
As a farewell, company employees lined up on the factory grounds in the shape of the word Holden.
The Holden plant was the last automobile production site in the country. Earlier, Ford and Toyota concerns had closed their enterprises.
