Members of the Italian Tesla electric car enthusiasts club managed to set a world record for the range of electric models.
The test involved the most "long-range" modification of the Model S 100D, whose manufacturer-declared range is 632 km, but Italian drivers managed to cover 1078 km!
The run, during which the charging port was sealed, lasted 27 hours, at a rather modest average speed of about 40 km/h.
This achievement attracted the attention of Elon Musk: the head of Tesla congratulated the marathon participants on his Twitter.
