Based on the results of all types of NHTSA crash tests, the electric crossover managed to earn the maximum five-star rating. The probability of avoiding serious injuries in an accident in a Tesla Model X is 93%.
Such high safety ratings for the model were influenced, not least, by the absence of an engine under the hood, which made it possible to significantly increase the energy absorption zones in a crash.
Now the Model X is expected to undergo Euro NCAP tests, but given the higher complexity of American crash tests, it can be assumed that the Tesla will easily get the European five stars as well.
