The British decided to find out whether the "charged" SUV Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT could outrun an airplane on the track.
The race took place at the Blyton Park Driving Center circuit in Lincolnshire. The rival was the German single-seat aircraft Silence SA1100 Twister, which had to fly directly over the winding track, guided by special cone markers.
As a result, the 468-horsepower SUV turned out to be almost a second faster than its aerial opponent: its time was 1 minute 13.4 seconds, while the monoplane showed 1 minute 14.36 seconds. Both participants reached a top speed of 225 km/h.
