As local media report, the curious incident happened due to a banal mistake by the owner. The owner left the car's gearbox in neutral and did not press the parking brake button. Naturally, in such a situation, the car was prone to any arbitrary uncontrolled movements, especially considering that it was not parked on a level surface. In the end, the worst happened: the Ferrari moved off and rolled into the lake. It had to be retrieved with the help of rescuers.

It is noted that Lake Hadra and the surrounding area is a rather upscale place in Italy. Wealthy people live nearby, who often go out into nature in their Bentleys, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and other supercars. Presumably, the owner of the affected 812 GTS was one of such rich people.
