So it is not surprising that GM presented several new developments. One of them is the new generation of the Chevrolet Volt hybrid. The main differences from its predecessor are a different appearance and an increased range on electric power alone. If earlier the car could not travel more than 60 km, now it easily covers 80 km. The work on minimizing curb weight has paid off.
As the president of GM's North American division, Alan Batey, said: "We are confident that our engineering expertise, combined with the thousands of customer reviews we took into account when creating the Chevrolet Volt, has allowed us to create the most advanced and efficient electric vehicle."
