Nevertheless, literally half a day before the start of the Detroit auto show, Jaguar announced its first-ever crossover. This is not a full presentation, but only a teaser of the new product. The model will be called F-Pace. It is expected to go into serial production in 2016. The car will be similar to the C-X17 concept car.

Production of the new car, built on a new aluminum architecture, is planned to be set up at the plant in Solihull (UK).

According to insiders, the new model's engine lineup may include four- and six-cylinder diesel engines and four-cylinder petrol engines.
