At the Kharkiv Automobile and Road University, engineers created the "KHADI 34" model. The "LSA KHADI AIS" team has been supported for several years by the "AIS" corporation.

The international Shell Eco-marathon Europe competition is considered one of the most authoritative educational projects in the world, where participants seek fresh approaches to energy efficiency. The team from Kharkiv turned out to be the only representative from the CIS at these races.

The essence of the task was to cover the maximum distance using only one liter of fuel. The pilots of "LSA KHADI AIS" achieved a result of 457.53 km per liter. The indicator was not a record, but among more than two hundred rivals, the Kharkiv residents finished in 22nd position.

"KHADI 34" was developed by students of the Kharkiv Automobile and Road University without outside help. This eco-car is an experimental prototype with the following parameters: curb weight — 43 kg; dimensions — 2900x900x700 mm; wheelbase — 1530 mm; engine displacement — 35 cm3; top speed — 60 km/h. Gasoline is used as fuel.
