In August 2026, Ukrainians registered 20.7 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad. Compared to August last year, their number decreased by 9%. The most popular model was the Volkswagen Golf. This is reported by Ukrautoprom.

Most popular used cars from abroad in August 2026

The first place among imported used cars was taken by the Volkswagen Golf - 875 cars were transferred to Ukrainian plates. The Volkswagen Tiguan with a result of 775 cars became second, and the third position was taken by the Nissan Rogue - 707 units.

  2. Volkswagen Tiguan - 775;

  3. Nissan Rogue - 707;

  4. Audi Q5 - 695;

  5. Skoda Octavia - 633;

  6. Renault Megane - 532;

  7. Tesla Model Y - 494;

  8. Tesla Model 3 - 480;

  9. Nissan Leaf - 454;

  10. Ford Escape - 408.

The average age of used cars that received Ukrainian registration for the first time during the month was 8.7 years.

Used cars with petrol engines increased their market share

Petrol cars formed 52% of August imports of used cars. A year earlier, their share was 48%.

Electric cars and diesel cars accounted for 17% each. At the same time, the share of electric cars decreased over the year from 26% to 17%, while for diesel cars it remained unchanged.

Hybrids took 11% of the market compared to 6% in August 2025. Another 3% of imported used cars were cars with LPG - this indicator also did not change over the year.
