Since the beginning of 2026, Ukrainians have purchased over 3.5 thousand new subcompact crossovers. The greatest demand in this class is for cars with traditional internal combustion engines, but more than a third of the market is already occupied by hybrids. This is reported by Ukrautoprom.
New compact crossovers in Ukraine: which models are chosen most often
Cars with internal combustion engines accounted for 58% of sales in the segment. The share of hybrid models reached about 36%, while fully electric crossovers provided almost 6% of sales.
1. Toyota Yaris Cross
The segment leader was the Toyota Yaris Cross. Since the beginning of the year, 700 new cars of this model have been sold in Ukraine. It accounts for approximately one-fifth of all sales in the class.
2. Suzuki Vitara
Second place went to the Suzuki Vitara. Ukrainian dealers sold 435 such crossovers, which is 265 cars fewer than the leader of the ranking.
3. Hyundai Venue
Third position is held by the Hyundai Venue. In 2026, Ukrainians purchased 256 new crossovers of this model.
4. Chery Tiggo 4
Fourth was the Chery Tiggo 4 with a result of 249 cars sold. The Chinese crossover is separated from the Hyundai Venue by only seven cars.
5. Volkswagen T-Roc
The top five most popular models is closed by the Volkswagen T-Roc. Since the beginning of the year, 240 new crossovers of this model have been registered in Ukraine.

In total, the five models from the ranking sold 1,880 cars. The Toyota Yaris Cross significantly outperforms its competitors, while the results of the Hyundai Venue, Chery Tiggo 4, and Volkswagen T-Roc differ by only 16 cars.
