According to UkrAvtoprom, last month Ukrainians registered over 6.8 thousand new passenger cars. This is 20% more than in September 2024, but only 1% higher than in August of the current year. Demand continues to grow, although not as rapidly as expected.

Interestingly, for the first time the bestseller of the month was the fully electric Volkswagen ID.UNYX — a model that symbolizes the gradual transition of Ukrainian buyers to electric power.
Overall results of the year
Since the beginning of 2025, 52.9 thousand new cars have already been registered in Ukraine. This practically corresponds to last year's figure (-0.3%), but indicates stable demand in difficult economic conditions.
Thus, September became the month of the Chinese breakthrough: BYD proved that it is already capable not only of competing with leading global manufacturers, but also of taking first place in the Ukrainian market. If the trend continues, 2025 could well become a turning point in the balance of power between traditional auto giants and new players from China.
