In July, the Renault Duster took the lead among new passenger cars in Ukraine. This crossover not only maintained its position but also became the leader with 491 registrations. It continues to be in demand among Ukrainians due to its successful balance of price, practicality, and adaptability to local operating conditions. The market most values all-wheel-drive versions with diesel engines, which are imported from European markets.
In second place is the BYD Song Plus — a Chinese crossover with an electrified powertrain. Its result of 391 units shows that demand for eco-technologies in the country is steadily growing, and the brand itself is rapidly expanding its presence in the Ukrainian market.
The third spot went to the Toyota RAV4, which has long become a classic in its segment. This vehicle received 245 registrations, confirming its reputation as a reliable and durable car, especially in hybrid form.
In addition to the top three, the top ten included:
-
Hyundai Tucson — 208 units;
-
Honda e:NS1 — 206 units;
-
Volkswagen Touareg — 165 units;
-
Skoda Kodiaq — 164 units;
-
Kia Sportage — 162 units;
-
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado — 155 units;
-
Volkswagen ID.UNYX — 131 units.
Together, these ten models accounted for 36% of all new car registrations in July, indicating a fairly high concentration of demand on a limited set of models.
It is noteworthy that the ranking includes several representatives of the electric and hybrid segment — the Honda e:NS1 and BYD Song Plus from China, as well as the German ID.UNYX. This situation indicates a gradual shift in buyer priorities: increasing attention is being paid not only to appearance or dynamics, but also to cost-effectiveness in use and the environmental component.
