Fuel prices have decreased across several key categories at once: gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied gas. Thus, prices for gasoline grades fell by 1-2 hryvnias per liter, diesel fuel became cheaper by 0.5-1 hryvnia per liter, and autogas — by 0.2-0.9 hryvnias per liter depending on the region.
The reason for this step was the competition for customers among the largest market operators, who seek to maintain demand and respond to changes in global oil quotations. A key role was played by the drop in oil prices to $70 per barrel, while at the end of January it reached $82. In addition, purchase prices for petroleum products also decreased, which also contributed to the reduction in fuel prices.
Experts from the consulting company "A-95" predict that if current external prices persist, fuel at gas stations may become cheaper by another 1-1.5 hryvnias per liter in the coming weeks.
