Compared to July 2023, the number of registrations of such vehicles increased by approximately 12 percent. If compared to August of the previous year, the demand for imported used cars increased by 27 percent — this is the best August result for the period 2022–2023.

It is worth mentioning that in July of last year, the provision on duty-free import of cars ceased to be in effect, but registration procedures for such cars continued until August 2022. Thus, this year's August renewal of the passenger car fleet due to imported second-hand cars became the largest in the last 12 months.

The largest share in this market segment was occupied by petrol models — 45 percent. Next were: diesel — 32%; electric cars — 15%; cars with gas cylinder equipment — 5%; hybrids — 3%.

Among all imported used cars in August, Volkswagen Golf was again the most frequently registered.
