According to the Ukrautoprom association, compared to May 2021, which preceded the full-scale invasion, purchasing power in the new passenger car market decreased by 39%. Consumer activity relative to April of this year did not change significantly.
The Japanese brand Toyota retains the first step of the ranking — 861 cars were sold in May. Renault holds the second position with 501 registered cars. In third place is Volkswagen — 446 cars. The top five is closed by Hyundai (347 units) and BMW (344 cars).
The most popular model among new passenger cars in Ukraine remains the Renault Duster — this compact crossover was purchased by 472 drivers during the month.
