During the first six months of 2022, Ukraine spent almost 1.7 billion dollars on importing passenger cars. This information was published by the association "Ukravtoprom" on Friday, August 19, referring to statistical data from the State Statistics Service.
During this period, 304,083 passenger vehicles were brought into the country. Of these, only 18,323 units, i.e. 6%, were new, and the remaining 285,760 cars (94%) had mileage.
363.3 million dollars were spent on purchasing new cars, while the customs value of used cars exceeded 1.3 billion dollars.
The main supplier countries of new passenger cars turned out to be China (6,710 cars), Japan (2,382 cars) and Romania (1,476 cars).
As for cars that were already in use, the most were imported from Germany (118,758), France (31,206) and Poland (20,715).
