The main criterion for compiling the rating was the problem index, which shows the number of malfunctions per 100 purchased cars (the lower the indicator, the higher the reliability). The basis was data from a survey of motorists: owners of cars marked Made in China were asked to talk about malfunctions that occurred in the first 90 days after purchasing the "iron horse" and during the first three years of ownership.

The highest quality Chinese cars
So, in first place on the list were cars of the Changan brand (202 problems per 100 cars). Also in the top three were Chery (204) and Lynk & Co (205), which, by the way, belongs to Geely.
The TOP-5 is completed by GAC (206), Dongfeng (207), Dongfeng (209 PP100). At the same time, the ten most reliable also included: Jetour (209), Oshan (211), Venucia (211), Geely (212) and Roewe (213).
Interestingly, the rating did not include the Haval brand, which is well represented in Ukraine with its crossover lineup. In addition, there was no place for the giant FAW itself, nor for its sub-brands.

Finally, J.D. Power also noted some of the most reliable models. In particular, among compact crossovers, the Geely Emgrand X3 was recognized as the best, and the GAC GS3 was second in reliability. But in the category of mid-size crossovers, the Lynk & Co 05 won. It is followed by models such as Venucia Star and Changan CS75 Plus.

J.D. Power emphasized that Chinese cars have become better quality over the years, but they still have big problems with electronics. Especially with infotainment systems.
