According to JATCO, 20,446 Dacia Sandero units were sold in Europe in July. For comparison, the long-time market leader Volkswagen Golf found 19,425 buyers. Toyota Yaris took third place (18,858 cars).

That is, compact B and C-class hatchbacks remain in the lead. However, most models in the TOP-10 leaders of the European car market are still crossovers.

The most popular cars in Europe for July 2021:
- Dacia Sandero – 20,446 cars sold;
- Volkswagen Golf – 19,425;
- Toyota Yaris – 18,858;
- Volkswagen Polo – 17,343;
- Volkswagen T-Roc – 16,494;
- Hyundai Tucson – 14,883;
- Volkswagen T-Cross – 14,170;
- Dacia Duster – 13,329;
- Ford Puma – 13,283;
- Peugeot 2008 – 13,134.
Overall, in July the European car market significantly declined – 967,830 cars were sold, while in the same period last year it was 1.27 million. The main reason for the decline is attributed to reduced car production due to the microchip shortage.
