The basis was two criteria: the cost of a new car (specific) and the average price of the same model on the secondary market after 5 years. After that, analysts selected cars that would best retain their residual value. Their list is presented below.
Experts at Kelley Blue Book titled their publication: “Cars that best retain their value for subsequent resale.” This rating is relevant specifically for the USA, not for Ukraine, since our market differs greatly from the overseas one. For us, this study is interesting because it clearly shows how much cars can drop in price not only after leaving the showroom, but also after several years of use.
