Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus Alexander Shumilin spoke about amendments to the state program of innovative development for 2016-2020. According to him, more than 50 million rubles will be additionally allocated for the implementation of projects included in the program. Among the new initiatives is the creation of production of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles based on OJSC "Vityaz".

Shumilin noted that work on the project is already underway, but the launch of full-scale serial production of charging stations is planned for 2020.

Earlier it became known about the signing of an agreement between the Belarusian-British enterprise "Unison" and the Chinese company Zotye on the assembly of 30 thousand electric vehicles of this brand on Belarusian territory.

This project involves an investment of 560 million dollars and achieving a high level of production localization by 2022. The produced electric vehicles are planned to be sold both domestically and in the markets of the CIS countries.
