Mazda already has a joint venture with Sollers, which has been assembling Mazda 6 sedans and CX-5 crossovers for several years. However, the Japanese automaker intends to strengthen its position in the Russian market.

The new plant will produce SkyActive-G series gasoline engines. In the future, it is also planned to organize car assembly there. The total investment in this project will exceed three billion rubles, which is equivalent to approximately 52 million dollars.
