Compared to May 2016, Ukrainians purchased 6.6% more cars — 4.7 thousand units. Thus, the domestic car market maintained the upward trend observed since the first months of 2016.
In June, Toyota retained the first place, selling more than 500 cars. The second position was taken by Renault, displacing VW from this spot. The German brand was also pushed by Skoda dealers, who managed not only to show an impressive sales growth in the top ten (+41%), but also to achieve a monthly volume of over 400 cars. The fifth line remained with Kia, and BMW rose to the sixth, increasing sales by 36% at once.
The seventh place was taken by South Korean Hyundai, followed by Ford. The penultimate in the top ten was the domestic ZAZ, and the Japanese brand Nissan completes the ranking.
In total, for the first half of the year, according to AUTO-Consulting, dealers managed to sell about 27 thousand new cars, which is 52.8% higher than the figure for the same period last year.
