Specialists of Diamond Car Insurance company studied data from more than 400 thousand road accidents and concluded that women are more often the culprits of minor incidents related to maneuvering. Men, although they get into accidents less often, become participants in much more dangerous situations, which leads to significant insurance payouts.
Typical accidents that men get into:
Hit animal
Contact with road barrier
Driving off the embankment
Collision with a tree
Hitting a pedestrian
Head-on collision
Multiple collision
Hitting a motorcyclist
Incident during road narrowing
Accident during lane change
Accidents typical for women:
Hit parked vehicle
Incident in parking area
Collision while reversing
Accident when exiting an adjacent road
Hit after starting from a parking spot
Contact with a wall
Hitting a stationary car in a traffic jam
Incident during U-turn
Accident at an intersection with equal roads
Collision with another vehicle
In addition, it turned out that the fairer sex treat their cars more carefully. Women have fewer thefts and break-ins. They also less often file insurance claims due to natural disasters or malfunctions caused by low-quality fuel.
