Since the publication of the first review (15.02.2010), the total cost of cars in the index basket has increased by 9.33% — this is evident from Table 1. These data were obtained during a price monitoring* conducted by the portal BIZ.liga.net.
As the study showed, the most significant price increases were for the Nissan Note (+5,291 UAH) and the Mazda3 hatchback, whose price increased by 5,100 UAH.
The most noticeable price decrease among the models in the Top-20 was demonstrated by the Mercedes-Benz C 200, which lost 7,064 UAH in price. The reason for this was the difference in exchange rates.
In addition, it is worth noting small price adjustments for a number of other brands caused by fluctuations in exchange rates. Thus, due to the strengthening of the dollar in hryvnia equivalent, models whose prices are fixed in US currency slightly increased in price: Toyota Corolla, Mitsubishi Lancer X, Kia Ceed, Skoda Octavia A5, and Volkswagen Golf. At the same time, the list prices for these cars remained unchanged, as they are indicated in currency.

The indicative group was formed by individual models of those brands that made it into the Top-20 best-selling passenger cars according to Ukrautoprom.
*It should be noted that for the monitoring, a list of specific trim levels of individual models of brands included in the Top-20 best-selling passenger cars according to Ukrautoprom statistics for December 2009 was used.
Prices were taken from official price lists and may include special, time-limited discounts that were in effect at that time. If there were different prices for a model of different years of manufacture, the latest one was taken into account in the monitoring.
The task of the monitoring is to track the overall price dynamics in the interests of buyers, and the editorial board does not aim to advertise individual companies, models, or brands.
It is better to clarify current data on specific models with official dealers.
