The researchers also presented a ranking of ten models that they believe are best suited for such activities. The survey involved a control group of one thousand respondents. 54% of those surveyed admitted that they had tried intimacy in a car at least once. For 22%, this experience turned out to be delightful, but the majority — 32% — decided that talk of incredible impressions from intimacy in a car is greatly exaggerated.
Differences between genders and age categories also emerged. 28% of men are completely satisfied with intimacy in a car, while among women this figure is lower — 18%. At the same time, 39% of women consider such adventures unacceptable, while men support this point of view in only 11% of cases.
Interestingly, the views of people of different ages diverged significantly, and not at all as one might assume. Only 13% of young people aged 18 to 24 sincerely loved sex in a car, while among respondents over 55, the share of those who appreciated all the delights of such a risky experience turned out to be three times higher — 39%!
The Autoquake.com portal went further and published a list of the best cars for intimacy, accompanying each entry with a justification. Here is what it says:
The first place went to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate. It is hard to argue with this: its most spacious trunk in its class — more than a thousand liters with the seats folded down — allows a couple of any build to be comfortably accommodated.
The second spot was given to the Volkswagen Beetle for its unconventionality, and the third to the Ferrari 458 Italia. The site's authors recommend choosing the version with a sequential gearbox to avoid injuries from the manual gearshift lever. The Mini Cooper hatchback ended up in fourth place thanks to its 1960s style, and the Volvo V70 in fifth, since it is convenient for making love in the doggy style position (the British consider the Swedish estate ideal for transporting dogs).
The sixth place went to the Volkswagen Golf GTI hatchback — a practical car for practical sex. The Alfa Romeo Spider convertible was recognized as romantic, and right behind it, in eighth position, was the Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan — no explanation needed here, it is about luxury. The Aston Martin Vanquish and Land Rover Discovery rounded out the top ten to support the British image.
