The most affordable electric cars in Ukraine

Electric cars are in considerable demand in Ukraine, however over 90% of them are used cars. New electric vehicles are not sold very massively here, which is dictated by their high cost – they are noticeably more expensive than similar models with internal combustion engines. However, there are also quite inexpensive electric cars on the market.

ANAIG Quick ANJ3000 – 119,000 hryvnias

Formally, this is not quite a car, because its power is only 4 hp. But it costs as much as three iPhones. The two-seat Chinese electric car reaches 45 km/h. The base version with a lead-acid battery has a range of 120 km, while the version for 149,000 hryvnias with a lithium battery can travel 140 km without recharging.

JAC IEV7S – 575,000 hryvnias

The Chinese JAC IEV7S is the cheapest electric car in Ukraine (if we consider full-fledged cars). The B-class crossover is equipped with a 115-horsepower motor, and its claimed range is 300 km. The JAC IEV7S trim is decent – there is climate control, light and rain sensors, and even surround-view cameras.

Mini Cooper SE – 1,009,521 hryvnias

The Mini electric car is already available for order in Ukraine. The compact hatchback is equipped with a 184-horsepower motor from BMW i3S and accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, and its range is relatively small – 235 km. But it inherited interesting handling from the petrol version.

Hyundai Kona Electric – 1,016,100 hryvnias

The electric crossover Hyundai Kona is available on the Ukrainian market in two versions. The base version is equipped with a 136-horsepower motor and a 39.2 kWh battery, with a range of 312 km. And for 1,322,400 hryvnias, a 204-horsepower version with a 64-kilowatt battery is offered, capable of traveling 450 km without recharging.

Renault Kangoo Z.E. – 1,091,900 hryvnias

The commercial Renault electric car in Ukraine is currently officially sold only in cargo version. It is equipped with a 60-horsepower engine, and the range is 200 km.

BMW i3 – 1,127,169 hryvnias

The original BMW electric car has been officially presented in Ukraine for quite a long time. It is available in the standard 170-horsepower version and the 184-horsepower i3s variant. The range is 260 km, and a version with a petrol motor-generator is also offered for 1.5 million hryvnias.

Volkswagen ID.3 – 1,342,225 hryvnias

The mass-market Volkswagen electric car has only recently appeared in Ukraine and is sold unofficially. It is available in one version – with a 204 hp motor and a 58 kWh battery. You can travel up to 420 km without recharging.
