Although many are ready to argue till they are hoarse that small cars cannot be considered female by default, nevertheless, compact cars are most often purchased by girls.
Of course, behind the wheel of a chic convertible or a huge SUV, a fair sex representative will look more impressive than in some tiny Smart, but it is one thing to look, and quite another to move in dense city traffic or spin around in search of a free spot in a cramped parking lot.
As a result, when searching for the optimal option, girls choose an inexpensive compact car with good visibility, stylish design, and an automatic transmission that is indispensable for the city.
Top ten compact cars for women
We have selected a dozen ideal car options for women that are currently sold on the Ukrainian market. The main criteria for compiling our rating were the following parameters:

BMW X2
The compact crossover, of course, cannot boast a low price, but it has plenty of style and "freshness". The BMW X2 is one of the most "designer" models of the Bavarian brand, yielding the lead in this matter only to the flagship 8 Series coupe, so it fits the role of a car for women quite well.
In addition to design, the crossover offers a wide range of petrol and diesel versions, both with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. You can even choose the type of automatic transmission - a "robot" with two clutches or a classic "automatic" with a torque converter. In addition, the X2 is technically identical to the X1 crossover, which ranks high in reliability ratings.
The main thing is not to be scared by the cost of the BMW X2 - from 809,200 UAH. However, you can save more than 100 thousand hryvnias by paying attention to the less stylish sibling X1 (from 690,000 UAH).
Fiat 500
The Italian baby Fiat 500 has never been shy about its status as a women's car. On our market, it is difficult to find a more suitable car for a girl, and it is not so much about the small size of the model, but about the "cute" exterior and interior design.
The slow "robot" is not the most desirable type of automatic transmission, but women have much fewer complaints about this unit than men. But the undoubted advantage of the Fiat 500 is its low cost - from 395,000 UAH, however, the price is promotional, so you will have to hurry.
For those who find the three-door city car too compact, Fiat can offer an enlarged "five-door" 500L and even the 500X crossover.
Ford Fiesta
The compact hatchback is perfect for the role of a car for a girl. Small dimensions, stylish appearance, and build quality are significant arguments for choosing this "German".
Also, the undoubted plus of the Fiesta is the classic six-speed "automatic", which stands out favorably against the background of "robots" and CVTs of classmates. The "two-pedal" Fiesta on our market is offered only with a 100-horsepower turbo engine, and such a variant will cost 510,543 UAH.
In addition to the standard Fiesta, you can pay attention to the pseudo-off-road version Fiesta Active, which differs in 17-inch wheels and plastic body kit. Such a hatchback is priced at 537,687 UAH.
Hyundai Kona
The Korean crossover easily stands out in traffic thanks to its extravagant design, which will leave no one indifferent, but not everyone may like such a specific style. Considering also the relatively recent debut of this model on the Ukrainian market, girls behind the wheel of the Kona are guaranteed increased attention.
The "automatic" version of the Hyundai Kona is equipped with a 7-speed "robot" DCT with two clutches and a 1.6-liter turbo engine with 177 hp, which gives the crossover excellent dynamics. Such a Kona is not cheap - at least 623,700 UAH.
Note that a fully electric modification of the Hyundai Kona is also sold in Ukraine, but at a completely exorbitant price - from 874,100 UAH.
Kia Picanto
The cheapest women's car in our rating attracts attention not only with its price, but also with a very bright appearance, as well as a good level of equipment and a rather original interior.
The Kia Picanto is equipped with a simple and reliable 4-speed automatic, working in tandem with an unpretentious 1.2-liter engine that produces 84 hp without any supercharging. Of course, such a tandem will not surprise anyone with dynamics, but it will please with the price - from 360,022 UAH.
Girls will especially like the most elegant X-Line version (from 460,560 thousand UAH) with contrasting "lime" inserts on the body and in the cabin, as well as a special design of alloy wheels.
Opel Corsa
The new generation Opel Corsa appeared on the Ukrainian market just a couple of weeks ago, so the German hatchback can be safely called the "freshest" women's car in our list.
First of all, girls will probably be interested in a long list of branded accessories that will allow creating a unique external style of the model. Inside, the Corsa may seem a bit boring, but the build quality is top-notch.
As befits a new product, the Corsa can boast advanced technology, namely an 8-speed "automatic" and a 130-horsepower 1.2 turbo engine. This version will please not only with dynamics, but also with fuel consumption, and its price starts from 504,500 UAH.
Peugeot 2008
Another "fresh" model came to Ukraine from France just a few months ago. The new generation Peugeot 2008 will strike the female audience with bold design, not only outside, but also inside.
The crossover is ideal for the role of a car for a girl, as it perfectly combines: style, spaciousness, high technology, and compactness. And all this is complemented by increased ground clearance, which is so necessary on our roads.
The Peugeot 2008 shares a common platform with the aforementioned Corsa, but can boast a wider range of units. On the Ukrainian market, a crossover with an 8-speed "automatic" can be purchased not only with a 1.2 petrol engine (from 555,500 UAH), but also with an even more economical 1.5 diesel engine (from 680,600 UAH).
Seat Arona
The stylish Spanish crossover cannot be called a newcomer, but nevertheless the Seat Arona still looks quite fresh. Girls should especially like the Xcellence design, in which you can choose a separate color for the roof.
The Arona's filling is German, as the model shares a common platform with the Volkswagen Polo hatchback. This kinship also affected the rather boringly executed interior, but with thoughtful ergonomics.
The base version is equipped with a liter TSI turbo engine with 115 hp and a 7-speed "robot" DSG (from 531,607 UAH). The same "robot" is also available with a 1.6 diesel engine with 95 hp.
Suzuki Jimny
The only SUV in our rating is quite suitable for the role of a women's car. A very original appearance, small dimensions, and excellent visibility can captivate a girl, even if she is completely indifferent to conquering off-road.
The interior of the Suzuki Jimny does not differ in special quality or ergonomics, but such a cabin definitely cannot be called boring.
The Jimny's tech is quite archaic - a 4-speed "automatic" and a 1.5-liter engine producing modest 102 hp. At the same time, the cost of the SUV is not too affordable - from 640,000 UAH (for the version with an "automatic").
Toyota CH-R
The Japanese crossover underwent its first restyling last year, which almost did not affect the appearance of the model. Nevertheless, the updated Toyota CH-R can also be classified as a conditional new product of our market.
The compact car was clearly created with an eye on the female audience. Unconventional design, dynamic silhouette, and very stylish interior design - an excellent choice for a girl.
The Toyota CH-R with a CVT and a 116-horsepower 1.2 turbo engine will cost at least 706,113 UAH.
