Hakka Black SUV and Hakka Blue SUV are the latest summer tires designed specifically for SUV-class vehicles. Given the popularity of SUVs and crossovers in Ukraine, we are sure many will be interested and important to know what the new tires are.

Our video review will tell you more:

Nokian Hakka Black SUV

This tire model is the most modern "creation" from the tire concern Nokian Tyres, which takes into account the requirements of SUV owners for safety in extreme conditions, comfort and durability of tires.

The Nokian Hakka Black SUV tire is designed for the largest SUVs. The wide range consists of 26 sizes ranging from 17 to 22 inches with speed ratings V (240 km/h), W (270 km/h) and Y (300 km/h). The tires will appear in retail outlets in spring 2015.

Key innovations:

Nokian Aramid Sidewall technology. Ultra-strength. Extremely durable aramid fibers, exceptionally resistant to wear and cuts, are added to the rubber compound of the sidewall. Similar material is used in the aviation and military industries. Aramid fiber bonds and reinforces the tire sidewall, allowing it to better withstand external impact and pressure on the wheel flange.

Feather grooves. Safety on wet roads. Aggressive feather grooves cut through the ribs in the central zone, effectively accumulate water and direct water into the longitudinal grooves.

Expanding Trumpet Grooves. Effective prevention of aquaplaning. In the shoulder zones there are expanding Trumpet Grooves optimized for pumping water. The expanding grooves remove water from the contact patch, accelerate its outflow from the main grooves to the transverse grooves and maximize grip.

Black Coral Silica tread compound. More precise handling and improved grip on wet roads. The new generation Black Coral Silica tread compound uses a coral-like expanding molecular structure of silica and functional rubber compound to enhance the rigidity of the tread pattern. This innovative compound allows the Nokian Hakka Black SUV tire to maintain structural rigidity and maintain reliable contact with the road even when driving at high speed and taking sharp turns. The tread compound works excellently over a wide temperature range, and also improves wet grip and wear resistance.

Silent Groove groove design. More comfort while driving. The comfort of the tire while driving is increased by hemispherical cavities in the walls of the longitudinal tread ribs, which in appearance resemble the dimples on the surface of a golf ball. The innovation reduces the noise level inside the cabin and external noise while driving. The innovation also reduces air resistance and helps cool the tire surface and improve wear resistance.

The Black series is the result of long and careful testing, in which, by the way, an Audi without a driver takes part!

Nokian Hakka Blue SUV

Nokian Hakka Blue SUV – universal new tires for popular small and medium SUVs – offer uncompromising safety and comfortable driving from early spring to late autumn. Nokian Hakka Blue SUV is a tire with low rolling resistance, which allows you to save fuel.

A wide selection of sizes is designed for the growing SUV market and covers almost all popular SUV models sold in Scandinavia, Finland and Russia. The size range is represented by 30 items with wheel diameters from 15 to 18 inches and speed ratings T (190 km/h), H (210 km/h) and V (240 km/h). Nokian Hakka Blue SUV tires will be available at retail outlets in spring 2015.

Key innovations:

Nokian Aramid Sidewall technology. Ultra-strength. Super-strong aramid fibers are added to the rubber compound of the sidewall. Similar material is used for the aviation industry and the defense industry. Aramid fibers make the tire sidewall more reliable and resistant to sudden impacts and cuts.

Trumpet Grooves. Effective prevention of aquaplaning. Trumpet Grooves accelerate the removal of water from the tire contact patch, accelerating the movement of water from the main grooves to the transverse grooves and maximizing grip even on wet roads.

Hydro Grooves technology. Stability of control, safety on wet roads. On the outermost longitudinal ribs in the central part of the tread there are deep diagonal grooves that open on one side and stabilize handling. This innovation also effectively prevents aquaplaning by accumulating water and directing it into the longitudinal grooves.

Stone ejectors. Better traction. Inclined rectangular stone ejectors grip the road surface while driving, which improves acceleration and braking on sandy roads and soft road surfaces.

Stone ejectors in the main tread grooves prevent stones from getting into the grooves and tread blocks, which, in turn, increases the durability of the tires. This innovation also reduces the number of stones flying out from under the wheels of the car, which will please other road users.

Smooth rolling concept. Lower fuel consumption, confidence in safe driving. The concept is aimed at low rolling resistance and reliable control at high speeds. The tread pattern was selected using computer simulation and tested by numerous tests. The selected combination of stable blocks of variable size, grooves and sipes of various widths gives the tread rigidity and flexibility at the same time, which allows the driver to feel confident in various road situations. As a result, the car's handling improves, tire heating decreases and fuel efficiency significantly improves. For the effect of tires on fuel economy, watch the training video:

Blue Coral Silica tread compound. Excellent steering feel, excellent wet grip and low fuel consumption. The new generation Blue Coral Silica tread compound uses a coral-like expanding molecular structure of silica and functional rubber compound to enhance the rigidity of the tread pattern. This gives the driver a precise steering feel. Due to the new tread compound, the Nokian Hakka Blue SUV tire provides excellent grip on dry and wet surfaces. The tire has excellent wear resistance and maintains its characteristics throughout its entire service life. The completely new combination of molecular chains also reduces heat generation and reduces fuel consumption.
