Submitting a car registration application online

Since May 11, 2011, the capital's State Automobile Inspectorate has launched a new option for Kyiv residents: now a car registration application can be submitted online. This can be used by private individuals — the application must include information about the owner and the vehicle's parameters. A contact phone number is mandatory.

To submit an electronic application, the car owner needs to:

  • fill out a special application form;
  • name the file according to the scheme: zrtz_surname in Latin letters_date (for example, zrtz_ivanov_18052011);
  • send the completed file as an attachment to the email of the MREO serving your district (addresses are listed above).

Applications are processed on a "today — for tomorrow" basis.

To obtain license plates, you must personally visit the MREO, bringing original documents, present the car for inspection, and pay for the services (a bank branch is located on the MREO premises).

Thanks to the electronic application, the time for direct vehicle processing at the office is reduced. You can get advice on filling out the form by calling any of the registration and examination departments.

The innovation applies exclusively to the registration of new cars; the procedure for registering and deregistering used cars remains unchanged.
