The press service of the State Emergency Service reported that a signal about the incident at the gas station was received by fire department dispatchers at 8:40 a.m. The fire and explosion occurred in the administrative building of the gas station complex.
It is reported that there are four dead and six injured. One of the injured is in critical condition, and doctors are performing surgery on her. About a hundred emergency workers arrived at the scene. This data was provided by the press service of the Kyiv Regional Administration.
Rescuers are considering two possible causes of the incident: the first is shortcomings in the design and construction of the gas station complex, and the second is failure to comply with fire safety requirements.
