The new product received a refined 4.0-liter gasoline V8. The power output of the engine increased to 700 horsepower. With this engine, the Brabus 700 Widestar accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The top speed is limited to 240 kilometers per hour. The turbocharged V8 works in conjunction with a nine-speed automatic transmission AMG Speedshift TCT and the all-wheel drive system AMG Performance 4Matic.

The SUV acquired a sport exhaust system with chrome tips, large wheel arches, LED optics, a spoiler, and 23-inch wheels. The interior uses Alcantara, wood inserts, and carbon.

Mercedes-AMG showed the "hot" modification of the new generation G-Class at the Geneva Motor Show this year. Under the hood was a four-liter biturbo V8 with two "twin-scroll" turbines and variable geometry of the impeller, which replaced the previous 5.5-liter engine. The new engine develops 585 hp and 850 Nm of torque — that is 14 hp and 90 Nm more than the previous generation unit.
