Chevrolet brought the Chevelle Slammer concept car to the SEMA auto show in Las Vegas, based on the popular 1969 coupe.
Under the hood of the show car is a modern 6.2-liter V8 unit taken from the Camaro SS model. Engineers increased its output from 460 to 535 horsepower. The engine is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.
The concept muscle car received 18-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch at the rear, as well as air suspension. In addition to the powertrain, the Camaro SS Chevelle Slammer also borrowed brakes.
