Electric motors will be produced at a new plant, the opening of which is scheduled for July of this year. Honda does not intend to use these units only in its own cars, so any manufacturer will be able to purchase them.

More than 40 million dollars have been invested in this project, but the partners expect to recoup the costs through significant production volumes.

To date, the only Honda model that uses an electric motor at least partially remains the hybrid modification of the Accord sedan.
