The e-POWER hybrid system consists of a gasoline engine, a generator, an inverter, and an electric motor. The main difference of the system from other hybrids is that the gasoline engine is responsible solely for recharging the battery and does not transmit its power to the wheels.

The hybrid Note allows you to enjoy all the benefits of an electric vehicle without worrying about the battery charge level. Among other things, this scheme is more economical and quieter than conventional hybrids.

The Nissan Note e-POWER became the world's first production compact car equipped with such a system, which is classified as a series hybrid powertrain.
