BYD Yuan and BYD Song are the names of the new models, which feature hybrid powertrains. In terms of exterior design, the new BYD models generally adhere to the previously shown images and the overall styling presented in the 2014 model year vehicles.

In the interior trim of the BYD Song, aluminum and wood materials are used, and the design of the front console aligns with BYD's overall approach: modern, convenient, and functional.

Most media functions will be controlled via a large touchscreen display, and below it, in the central "well," there is a screen for the air purification system, which BYD equips in all its innovative models and which many automakers have already adopted. The system filters out particles dangerous to humans that cause lung cancer and makes the cabin air significantly cleaner, which is especially relevant for car enthusiasts in megacities. We already saw a similar solution in last year's BYD S6 Premium (formerly known as BYD S7), and it will apparently become standard for BYD vehicles.

All hybrid versions of the new models will be built within the framework of the "5-4-2" technological concept. Each of the numbers corresponds to one of the vehicle's characteristics: "5" - acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h within five seconds, "4" - all-wheel drive on all four wheels, and "2" - fuel consumption of no more than 2 liters per 100 km. As we can see, the manufacturer has placed the 0-100 acceleration figures on the rear door of each model - where engine displacement is often indicated.

Each of the models will have hybrid and regular versions: according to the concept, names with the "S" prefix will be given to the company's gasoline models, while hybrid versions will be named after various Chinese dynasties. The debut of the gasoline BYD S3 should take place at the Shanghai Auto Show, and the presentation of the hybrid version of the BYD Song is planned closer to autumn this year.
