The average cost of diesel fuel in Ukraine is about 92-97 UAH per liter. At such prices, reducing monthly consumption by 10-12 liters can cut costs by approximately 1000 UAH.

Sharp accelerations increase fuel consumption, so an economical mode involves smooth acceleration and maintaining a steady speed. On the highway, it is advisable to avoid excessive speed and use cruise control when possible.

Other measures also help reduce costs:
remove unnecessary cargo from the trunk;
do not carry a roof rack or box without need;
service the engine in a timely manner and use the recommended motor oil;
compare prices at gas stations and use loyalty programs.
According to the US Department of Energy, a technically sound car can be on average about 4% more economical, and proper tire pressure also reduces fuel costs.
At a diesel price of 92-97 UAH/liter, saving 10-12 liters per month corresponds to approximately 920-1164 UAH.
