All you need is to pick a six-digit password to the Tesla owner's account, which is not particularly difficult for a hacker. The fact is that when buying this car, the owner must register the car in the system and accordingly come up with a password for their account. The mobile app allows the owner to remotely monitor the car and control its functions, such as the central lock.

The main "bug" of the protection is that after several failed password attempts, the account is not blocked. Accordingly, the hacker has an unlimited number of attempts to guess the correct password. All that remains is to find out the location of the car. True, it will not be possible to steal a "Tesla" this way - a special electronic key fob is needed to start the engine. However, a "cleaned out" interior will clearly not bring joy to the owner either.
