There is no official technical information about such a modification of the VW Polo yet, but it is not ruled out that the concept will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show scheduled for March. Most likely, for the off-road version of the Polo, engines from the regular model will be used, including a new three-cylinder turbocharged unit with a displacement of one liter, producing 110 hp.
In addition to the traditional Volkswagen trim levels Trendline, Comfortline, and Highline, the appearance of a sporty R version is quite possible. Especially considering that the all-wheel-drive VW Polo R with a 250-horsepower engine is already being tested before its premiere in Geneva.
The off-road version of the Polo, apparently, will be able to get an all-wheel drive system, which will be its advantage over the front-wheel-drive CrossPolo. Also, the crossover will be equipped with many active safety systems and a modern multimedia complex.
