Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that the draft document has already been approved by all interested departments. Thus, the authorities intend to increase sales of domestically produced cars.

However, it is worth clarifying: this does not mean that Russian civil servants will switch to Ladas. According to the initiative, officials will have to use cars assembled in Russia. This means that, as before, they will be able to purchase Audi, BMW, and Mercedes, since these brands have local assembly in the Russian Federation. Moreover, in the near future, the production of the new Mercedes S-Class is expected to be launched.
