Nissan Tekton received the Renault Duster platform and a new design
The new Tekton is built on the CMF-B architecture, which the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance already uses for the Renault Duster and Dacia Duster. At the same time, Nissan completely redesigned the front end, using design solutions from the flagship Patrol. The crossover has a different grille, a new front bumper, modified LED headlights, original taillights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The car is 4348 mm long, with a wheelbase of 2657 mm, ground clearance of 212 mm, and a trunk volume of up to 518 liters.
The interior largely repeats the Renault Duster, but differs in its own trim options. Already in higher trims, a panoramic roof, front seat ventilation, wireless smartphone charging, power tailgate, and a Level 2 ADAS driver assistance suite are available. The digital panel consists of a 10.25-inch instrument display and a multimedia system with a 10.1-inch screen.
The budget Nissan crossover was offered with two turbo engines
Two gasoline turbo engines without a hybrid system were prepared for the model. The base version is equipped with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine producing 100 hp, which works with a six-speed manual transmission. The more powerful modification received a 1.3-liter turbo engine with 161 hp. Buyers can choose a six-speed manual or a dual-clutch robotic transmission. All versions of the Nissan Tekton have front-wheel drive, while an all-wheel-drive version, available for the European Dacia Duster, is not provided for the new product.
The base Nissan Tekton Visia costs from $11,000 (approximately UAH 459 thousand), while the top Tekna trim with the 161-hp engine and robotic transmission is priced at $19,500, or about UAH 814 thousand.
