Details of the technical content have not yet been disclosed, but the closed front without a radiator grille and the absence of air intakes suggest that under the hood there will likely be an electric or hybrid powertrain. This aligns with Toyota's strategy of gradually transitioning its lineup to electrified units.
Toyota's chairman of the board, Akio Toyoda, noted that the Corolla Concept could form the basis of a future production model.
