The interior of the Slavia shows the same dashboard architecture as the current Fabia, the same copper accents and round air vents. The virtual instrument panel and the multimedia system display with a diagonal of up to 10 inches, the Slavia, apparently, will also share with the Fabia.
In addition, the new product will get a two-spoke steering wheel, standard for most models of the Czech brand. Differences from the Fabia can be seen in the slightly modified design of the door cards and the Skoda inscription instead of Fabia on the frame of the instrument cluster. In addition, the Slavia got an additional compartment for small items in the upper part of the front panel.
The successor to the Rapid for India is presumably built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, created specifically for local budget models. Assembly of the sedan, named after the bicycle of the late 19th century of the Laurin & Klement brand, will be carried out with 95 percent localization.
The engine range will include two gasoline engines: a 1.0-liter TSI with 115 horsepower and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder producing 150 horsepower. By default, both are paired with a six-speed manual, and for an additional cost, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic can be chosen for the more powerful engine.
The premiere of the Skoda Slavia is scheduled for November 18, 2021.
