The development of the Slavia is being handled by Skoda's Indian division, which this year has already presented the compact Kushaq crossover. Given that the budget SUV in its base version was priced at just $14,000 (cheaper than the Fabia), it can be assumed that the price for the new sedan will be approximately the same.

The published teaser allows only to assess the profile of the future new model, the design of which remains a mystery for now. Obviously, the exterior of the model will have much in common with the same Kushaq, with which the Slavia will share the common MQB-A0-IN platform.
The range of engines for the Skoda Slavia is also unlikely to do without the two turbo engines typical for the crossover: a 115-horsepower three-cylinder 1.0 TSI and a 1.5 TSI with 150 horsepower. In addition to the traditional manual transmission, the sedan may get a six-speed automatic or a seven-speed DSG robot.
Last month, the Czech publication auto.cz tried to guess what the new sedan would look like, publishing its own Skoda Slavia teasers.
