The new sports version of the Corolla was developed by Toyota's division in Thailand, where the model is sold under the name Corolla Altis. Apart from the name prefix, the Thai Corolla is practically no different from versions for other markets.

The Nurburgring Edition trim is dedicated to the successes of the factory team Toyota Gazoo Racing Team Thailand in the ring races "24 Hours of Nurburgring". This year, sports prototypes based on the Corolla Altis managed to take 1st and 3rd place in the SP3 class.

The "civilian" Toyota Corolla Nurburgring Edition stands out with an aerodynamic body kit, including "skirts" and a small spoiler on the trunk, as well as badges on the fenders with the image of the legendary track.

Technical modifications were limited to stiffer springs in the suspension. The 138-horsepower 1.8 engine and CVT remain unchanged. Drive is exclusively front. The Nurburgring Edition package is also available for the hybrid version of the Corolla.
