As the MOTA website learned, the new Suzuki Jimny in a five-door version will be about 30 cm longer than the three-door variant. That is, its length will reach approximately 3.95 m, and the wheelbase – 2.55 m. It will also feature a different radiator grille.

Of course, the increased dimensions will make the Suzuki Jimny Long more spacious and increase its trunk, but at the same time, the SUV will become significantly heavier. Therefore, a new engine is being prepared for it.

It is known that this will be a gasoline turbo engine with a mild hybrid system. Most likely, we are talking about the 1.4-liter 138-horsepower turbo four from the Suzuki Swift Sport.
It is also stated that the Suzuki Jimny Long will be about 300 thousand yen ($2750) more expensive than the three-door version. Production of the extended SUV will be established in Japan and India.
