It is known so far that the factory designation of the model is Citroen E43. This is a hatchback crossover with a design in the spirit of the younger Citroen C4 – with original arrow-shaped LED headlights and smooth body contours.

It is known that the new Citroen E43 is built on the modular EMP2 platform, which is also used by Peugeot 508 and DS9. Most likely, engines will also be borrowed from the siblings – you can expect 1.6-liter petrol turbo engines with 180 and 225 hp, as well as turbodiesels with a volume of 1.5 liters (130 hp) and 2.0 liters (160 and 180 hp).

The appearance of plug-in hybrids with a power of 225 and 300 hp, capable of driving over 50 km on electric power, is not excluded. The more powerful version may get all-wheel drive.

It is also possible that the Citroen C5 2021 will be equipped with suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions (PHC) technology – shock absorbers with built-in hydraulic buffers that provide a more comfortable ride.
