The new BYD D1 was designed in collaboration with DiDi, a major Chinese taxi and carsharing operator. This is a compact minivan with a length of 4390 mm, a width of 1850 mm, and a height of 1650 mm, with a wheelbase of 2800 mm.

The design turned out to be quite restrained. However, there is an original detail: the rear door on the left is conventional, while on the right it is sliding. This is done for the convenience of taxi passengers getting in and out.

The interior trim uses durable and long-lasting materials. A miniature virtual instrument cluster screen and a large multimedia touchscreen are installed. Rear passengers also have a separate touchscreen display.

The Chinese electric vehicle is equipped with a motor producing 136 hp and a torque of 180 Nm. The 53.6 kWh battery provides a range of 418 km.
