At the same time, the model underwent a facelift. The new wide radiator grille, elongated LED headlights and sculpted front bumper made the Nissan X-Terra 2021 more similar to the Patrol.

In the cabin, the front panel has been replaced and a large 9-inch touchscreen has appeared. More comfortable front seats with Zero Gravity technology (developed jointly with NASA and reducing strain on the back) have also been installed. The top version now features automatic braking, lane keeping, blind spot and traffic sign recognition systems.

The new Nissan X-Terra is built on the ladder frame platform of the Navara pickup and uses its engines. The SUV is offered with a 2.5-liter gasoline four-cylinder producing 165 hp, and later 2.3-liter turbodiesels with 163 and 190 hp will be added. All versions will get a 7-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with low range, as well as a locking rear differential.
